Description
At the heart of the new Zebra ZXP Series 9 ID Card System with Lamination is the updated high-definition ZXP Series 9 reverse transfer printer. The key to the printer is its speed and quality – the ZXP Series 9 is capable of printing high-definition ID cards twice as fast as other retransfer printers on the market. The ZXP Series 9 is ideal for such applications as high-security ID cards, gift card programs, university IDs, driver’s licenses, financial cards and more.
Zebra ZXP Series 9 ID Card Printer
The Zebra ZXP Series 9 is a high-definition retransfer printer that quickly produces photo-quality ID cards suitable for any ID application.
Zebra ZXP Series 9 Key Features
- Printing Capability: Single-sided
- Print Technology: Reverse transfer
- Print Speed: Full color single-sided cards in 19 seconds
- Input/Output Hopper: 150/100
- Warranty: 2 years
High-Quality Reverse Transfer Technology
The Zebra ZXP Series 9 uses reverse transfer printing technology, which prints your image first on a clear film, and then applies that film to your cards. This has several advantages over dye sublimation printing:
- Higher definition card printing
- Longer lasting printhead, because it doesn’t come into contact with cards
- True over-the-edge printing
- Improved card durability
It’s also the ideal print method for printing on technology cards with uneven surfaces such as smart cards, as well as non-PVC cards made of polycarbonate or biopolymers.
Protecting Your Cards with Lamination
The Zebra ZXP Series 9 comes with options for single or dual-sided lamination. An essential feature for making your ID cards longer-lasting, lamination works by applying a protective film (either clear or with a holographic security design) over the top of your printed card.
The process of lamination has several benefits: laminated cards are harder to tamper with, last longer when the cards are physically scanned (like magnetic stripe cards), and UV-blocking laminates protect your cards from sunlight damage and fading.
Fast ID Card Printing
The key to the printer is its speed. The ZXP Series 9 is capable of printing high-definition ID cards twice as fast as other retransfer printers on the market. The ZXP Series 9 can print up to 190 single-sided, full-color cards per hour and 180 dual-sided cards with full color on the front and monochrome black on the back.
When it comes to lamination speeds, the ZXP Series 9 is still fast and reliable, printing and laminating 180 dual-sided cards per hour.
Geared towards large-scale ID programs, the Zebra ZXP Series 9 is extremely reliable, offers USB and Ethernet connectivity, and is fully capable of handling high-volume print jobs.
